They are right, left, straight cut tin snips. These craftsman ones are pretty good. The cheap ones loose the tightness of the nut in the middle and both sides separate and flip the snips sideways with the metal in between.

B ut the handle along with the snip angle identifies that. Im being annoying for the last day of kinja though, I know its all about utility

I think that when these are stuffed into the pouch you don’t see the tip, so when you get accustomed to what color you need you can grab the handle...

 I mainly use these for cutting tie wire because they spring back.
